English 9: (1st, 6th hours)-

CLT: Students will gain knowledge of theme ideas within TKaM, chapters 1,2

1. Crash Course – To Kill a Mockingbird

2. Theme ideas handout- use your book and reading logs to complete

3. Reading time- read chapters 3, 4 for Monday

HW = parent information sheet turned in by Friday, 9/6, chapters 3, 4 due on Monday

English 12: (3, 4, 5th hours)

CLT- Students will gain and demonstrate knowledge of career/college readiness issues in a small group setting

1. Article jigsaw activity- get into your groups of 4. Discuss articles.

2. Get into book groups- create reading schedule and get novels. Turn in one reading schedule to me by the end of class. TEST ON BOOK IS WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 6TH. You should be done by Monday, 11/4 at the latest, as that is the review day for the test.

3. Turn in parent exam letter today for full points.
