English 9: (2nd, 6th hours)-

CLT: Students will gain knowledge of Freedom Writer’s Diary and Lord of the Flies expectations

1. Watch The Freedom Writer’s Diary – answer questions and write paragraph. TURN IN PINK SHEET.

2. Introduction to Lord of the Flies – go over logs, schedule, read background and fill out the outline.

HW = read chapter 1 for homework

English 12: (3, 4, 5th hours)

CLT- Students will gain knowledge of the plot of a mystery.

1. Read designated mystery story – annotate and fill out pink sheet. TURN IN BOTH.

2. Read or complete Othello test corrections with extra time.

HW = read mystery novel or choice book. Log #2 due Monday.
