English 9: (1st, 6th hours)-

CLT: Students will gain knowledge of grammar and display knowledge of important quotes from TKaM

1. Grammar practice- keep packet in folder

2. Quote Practice – review from yesterday

3. Reading time and time to reading log- read chapters 5, 6 for Wednesday

HW = chapters 5, 6 due on Wednesday, QUIZ ON 1-4 WEDNESDAY, VOCABULARY 1A QUIZ FRIDAY

English 12: (3, 4, 5th hours)

CLT- Students will gain knowledge of expectations for Common App. Essay as well as other types of essays for future use

1. Hand out rubric for exam and feedback sheets

2. Common App. Essay – review sample essays and discuss

3. Planning time to write one of the following: common app essay, scholarship essay, personal statement

HW = read Conroy novel, look for college requirements for essays for your college/job area if you haven’t
