English 9: (1st, 6th hours)-

CLT: Students will gain knowledge of grammar and display knowledge of TKaM chapters 1-4

1. Grammar practice- finish and turn in

2. Quiz on 1-4

3. Discussion on 1-6

4. Reading time and time to reading log

HW = chapters 7 due tomorrow, VOCABULARY 1A QUIZ FRIDAY

English 12: (3, 4, 5th hours)

CLT- Students will gain knowledge of expectations for Common App. Essay as well as other types of essays for future use

1. Work time to write one of the following: common app essay, scholarship essay, personal statement

2. You need to peer/self edit AND have an adult edit (not an English teacher here) by Tuesday next week.

3. College/career readiness reflection (mini-assessment) will be Monday next week.

4. Reminder- vocabulary quiz 1 on Friday

HW = read Conroy novel, STUDY FOR VOCAB. QUIZ FRIDAY
