English 9: (1st, 6th hours)-

CLT: Students will display knowledge of an important event in TKaM chapters 1-6 and gain knowledge of vocabulary for tomorrow’s quiz

1. Vocabulary practice- quiz tomorrow

2. Literary snapshot from chapter 1-7

3. Reading time and time to reading log

HW = chapters 8,9 due Monday, VOCABULARY 1A QUIZ FRIDAY, Reading log check for 7 on Monday

English 12: (3, 4, 5th hours)

CLT- Students will gain knowledge of expectations for Common App. Essay as well as other types of essays for future use

1. Quick group discussion on Conroy novels (5-10 min.)

2. Work time to write one of the following: common app essay, scholarship essay, personal statement

3. Reminder- vocabulary quiz 1tomorrow

HW = read Conroy novel, STUDY FOR VOCAB. QUIZ
